Write About Being Brave

An army captain who shoved a suicide bomber to the ground and away from his fellow soldiers in Afghanistan has become the nation’s newest Medal of Honor recipient.  Four people were killed in the attack, and several others were wounded, including the captain who needed nearly three years of recovery and 33 operations.  His action saved the life of many others.   He dedicated the medal to those were killed and their families, saying they were the true heroes and that he would try to do good things the rest of his life in memory of them.

Imagine you were that brave soldier.  What were the things going on in your mind as your rushed to save your fellow soldiers from that terrorist.   How do you become so brave and unselfish to do such an amazing deed?
